Where do you come up with all of these strange notions, Dave? I still recall vividly one of your posts back when we were discussing legalizing PCR's, and you were talking about how 15-year old boys would be shooting houses in subdivisions, etc. The sky didn't fall after PCR's were legalized for deer, and it won't when HPR's are either. Up in true farm county there is plenty of shooting across fence lines already. I would argue it occurs a lot already and this will likely only make it worse. The shooting of houses and such hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be because I don't think as many hunters went to the PCRs as I thought there would be. Possibly the same will happen with the high power rifles. Unfortunately the temptation is a bit much for a lot of guys because there seems to be some ridiculous association between manhood and killing a deer for way to many guys who deer hunt. I don't really care what they do because everyone has to police their own land regardless of high powered rifles or not. But, as I've said before, I'm interested to see if the DNR allows the high powered rifles on all the state parks and smaller fish and wildlife properties.
