I don't think this a major issue because weapons don't decide the overall deer harvest. If you're really concerned about the deer herd, you have to address season length and or bad limits. Heck, maybe we should only have a two week deer season, any weapon. The problem comes when you start carving up seasons for certain weapons because it becomes a "mine" idealism which never ends, is never enough and never satisfies everyone.
