They never applied for a permit. They did call but the deer was already years old and it was after the DNR found them with the adult deer. They were told that they likely would not qualify at that point so they did not bother to send in an application. This couple had no entention of giving up this deer. They wanted it as a pet. I wonder where they took it because it is not as they claim running with wild deer behind their house. They are lying. There is a lot going to come out in the trial.
