Nice .. debating to even put any out .. it would be the first time in many years I dont run at least one or two .. State land, I always worry about theft, etc. even cabled in and up 12ft or so ... I just seeing enjoy whats on the card, I really dont use 'em for scouting per se ..
Theft is always a concern. With the price of cell cams coming way down, that is all I'm running now. Got 12 of them out, all on state land. I feel like cell cams are less likely to get stolen due to the fact that there's a good chance i will get a picture of the would be thief. And if they redeploy the cam, the pics will come to my phone anyways. My 4 newest cameras also show GPS location, so if a thief turns it on in his home, I will have his address haha. And there's the fact that you can put these right in your hunting spots without ruining them with scent from checking the cams. I'm running the spypoint cams and have been happy with them so far.
Ive been looking at one of the new Browning cell's. I have Browning in no glow regular SD card cams, and they have been flawless .. use to have all 9 cams out when I had private, not so much on State land now ...
^^^ needs some mass and that may come with age ....... I may cave in, and put one Browning out on the state land I hunt this weekend once it cools down ... need to get some Lithiums first...

Good deal. Not sure if you have one nearby, but Sam's club has pretty good prices on the lithiums.
not a member of sam's ....... I found an unopened 8 pack of lithium's I forgot I had while searching for bright eye's I stashed (lucky me) .. one Browning trail cam is going out tomorrow (Sat,) on the state land I hunt ... cant resist ........... maybe another next weekend after Squirrel season starts ... oy vey
the old private I used to hunt had just about every Ash tree killed off by those damn beetles ... hundreds of tree died off (large and small) and then dried out and fell with every wind storm .. changed the whole property ... yup, included a few trees that I had killed deer out of ....
I also finally got a couple more pictures of this buck from July 6. Pretty sure this is the biggest, and all I have are these teaser pics lol! This is now the number 1 target haha
Had a couple bucks hanging out on front of this camera for almost an hour. They definitely seem to be getting more interested in scrapes. Winter coat starting to grow in. Not much longer to go!
Looks like a good year for acorns around here. Once they get off the soybean fields and onto the tree nuts, they can be more of a challenge to pattern.
Yep. Between soybeans turning brown, corn getting cut, and acorns hitting the ground, we have lots of changes to come over the next couple months. I sure am glad to have the number of bucks I'm seeing. We got absolutely destroyed by ehd 2 years ago. We were smelling dead deer every couple miles driving down some roads. It was crazy. Looks like numbers have rebounded quite well.
Nice. I had a juiced-up vine hanging last year and they'd scarcely touch it. Probably not in a location they liked well enough. You might have motivated me to try it again in a different spot.
