This last pic is of my buddies family taken in the late 80's. All of those deer were taken here in Kosciusko County in the 60's, 70's and 80's. It was not uncommon in the 70's while hunters all over Kosciusko County were struggling to get their buck........this group was done by the end of the weekend with bucks hanging all over in the barn from that specific area of the county they hunted. Pretty impressive area of hunting........which we STILL hunt to this day.

Here's one of Gundude's son, Parker, that he took several years ago. Square between the eyes with an old Model 97 Winchester. I believe Parker is a senior in high school this year. Maybe Keith will chime in with the story...funnier than heck...

This Polaroid is only 20 some-odd years old, but the full beard and the plaid camo look kinda' funny now.

We can all laugh today........... but back when the picture was taken........ it was cool!

None of us needed the newest and bestest scent free camo..........plaid worked fine.

HEYYYYYY...... I still still wear wool and flannel!!! I have green plaid for early season, brown for fall, and gray for winter!!!! other than a cotton t shirt for turkey and squirrel hunting, I can't remember the last actual camo garment I have bought!!! Guess I ain't cool any more!

Thought this might be cool to add to this thread.....Fish and Game laws of Indiana from 1938.......

Dew that was cool What stuck out to me was a prairie chicken season and there was not a coyote season or deer. How things have changed in regards to them.

That was very cool to see thanks dew. Also noticed a year round season for grey fox. Things sure have changed.

Doves and Turkeys were off limits too back then. Small game hunting was KING apparently in 1938....

When my father passed, I found his old Nitro King 12ga. in the closet. He had this gun as a kid and literally wore it out. I still have the gun, but it's not safe to shoot, as it won't lock-up very well.

ANYWAY...while I was looking at the gun, I noticed a sliver of paper sticking out beneath the butt-plate. Curiosity got the best of me, so I removed the plate. Stuffed into the stock was his hunting license from 1952! The writing and hand signatures are mostly faded, but still legible if you look closely. I laminated it, and it resides in my safe. Thought it was pretty cool to see all the changes that have occurred throughout the years.
