Is the 300 blackout in the AR platform legel to use for the Indiana firearm season ?

There are other cartridges that meet the law’s specifications, and there are others that do not. A partial list of cartridges that are not allowed under HEA 1231 includes the .270 Winchester, .38-55 Winchester, .444 Marlin, and .45-70 Government.

HEA 1231 is scheduled to expire after the 2020 deer season, at which time the DNR will submit an impact report to the Governor and the General Assembly.

I know the cartridge is legal but can I shoot it on thr AR platform. I thought I seen the only AR platforms are r50 bushmaster & the 4-- so com rounds.

the .300 Black Out is made by various companies in AR platforms ........ remember, Full Metal Jackets are NOT legal for deer.... SP or HP only ....

Yes you can hunt with it in a bolt action or semi automatic platform. Only can posses 10 rounds of it in the field though.

Yes you can hunt in an AR platform, so long as the round is legal and you follow all other rules for rifles (round count, etc).

I honestly was never much of a gun hunter until I started hunting with an AR. I love the platform and I LOVE how it pisses people off when they see an evil black gun in the photos ...

I still would rather bow hunt, but if I am going to take a gun deer hunting, it will be my AR in 450BM.

The .270 Winchester cartridge is legal on private land for deer hunting.
