I fish at Salamonie a lot and most of the time there is one or two bald eagles setting in this tree watching me fish. One of them in the picture is a juvanile and the other is an adult. They are fun to watch when the fishing is slow. h.h.[Linked Image]

They are now quite common up here .....I see and hear them all the time at Jasper Pulaski, there is a nesting pair there and at Kanakakee F&W, there is also a nesting pair up along Lake Michigan in the Nat. Lakeshore... ... when I hunted down by Wabash for to years, they were also common to see .... we also get the occasional Osprey in the area up here ... and Snow Owls in the Winter ... I'm in awe every time I see the large birds .... Ive had the immature circle low over my head while I was out scouting in late winter on JP, no more than 75 ft up ...

Amazing how they've gone from being a rare sight not that long ago, to almost being common nowadays, especially around large rivers & lakes.
