I asked the Law Enforcement Division about accidents since the start of early archery season:

13 accidents

10 were falls (1 fatal)

3 involved discharge of firearm

Ya'll be careful out there now!!!!

My dad works with one of those falls.... 25ft up a tree in a climber with no harness and the bottom fell out....

Update on the guy my dad works with... He broke his pelvis and some ribs... Dr.'s wanted to pin his pelvis but he declined... He is in very bad shape and may never be able to return to work... Believe me, the job this guy does for a living makes a $100 dollar investment in a harness mere pocket change...

WEAR YOUR HARNESSES!!!

A $100 harness is a pretty cheap insurance policy vs. a lifetime of being disabled and medical bills through the roof...

Those are just the ones that are reported. How many every year go unreported because the injuries were minor? I'm not chancing my hunting safety to luck ... WEAR A HARNESS!
