In the lovely Bloomington paper I read today of a 66 year old man that fell and hurt his leg while squirrel hunting.. he made a brace and tried to get back to his truck.. he fell again and screwed up his other leg!! He crawled for three hours to his truck and somebody passing by made the 911 call. I think he did have a cell phone but no service.. ( Monroe county hates visual pollution like a cell tower!) Point is he was hunting alone. Never a good idea and yet I do it all the time. I do leave a note about where to look if I don't come back

Agreed about hunting alone AND if you have to Verizon or maybe At&T to even have a chance at services down in that area if you get back in there a ways.
