Simmering on the stove...and had to sample...WOW! This is an awesome recipe,,,and makes a ton! You could probably "halve" the recipe and substitute squirrel with any small game, if you'd like. Very rich and creamy. This one is going into the recipe box!

I ate this until I couldn't eat any more. Simply delicious! Very rich, and filling. Would be a great deer camp staple! Like posted before, I'd cut the recipe in half if you're feeding just a few folks...and yer gonna want to make this again...

Well, I got to try Weedhopper's very own homemade brew myself...... and I gots tuh say.... it's some purty dog-gone good stuff! He provided me with a POT full of it too! I shared some with a fellow hunter at work today... and my WIFE even took some to work today for her lunch also! So it was a big hit. I prolly still have 3 bowl fulls left... Thanks again Weed!

Sounds good. I had chicken fried elk steak, mashed taters and garden sweet corn last evening Run the round steaks thru cuber once, then turned 90 degrees and ran them thru again. Breaded them up real nice with plain bread crumbs, salt and pepper then fried medium rare in a little oil in iron skillet. Good stuff!

Actually any meat would work with this recipe. I love fried squirrel, but the wife isn't crazy about it. I find this a good way to make use of them. The pressure cooker comes in handy for the tough red squirrels. By the way, I add a bag of white sweet corn and some sliced portobellos to the mix.
