Wondering what kind of gear folks are packing with them while hunting?

As little as possible...

Usually a fanny pack with knives, range finder, grunt tube, rattle bag, a small folding saw, flashlight, toilet paper, and windicator. I hate to carry much more than that.

backpack with, grunt tube, wind checker, breath spray, binoculars, doe can, bow hanger, harness rope, tags, pen, reflector tacks, scent killer, water bottle, snack, antlers, knife, gut gloves, folding saw, extra gloves, camera, rope, flashlight, extra flashlight, two-way radio, phone. Yes, im going thru my pack in the tree.

I have a Backpac that I take alot with me. Knife,grunt tube, 2 head lights,scents, book, probably to much, but I would rather have it than not and wish I did, If I am planning to hunt all day I take a 2nd pac for food.

I take everything sept the kitchen Sink , its better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it

calls, bino's, weapon, flashlight, cell phone, rope, knife, snack, water, 2 lighters, TP, CHEW, jerkey, windicator.

Muzzleloader and radio. I called Gundude to bring out the rest of the stuff after the harvest. True story!

Last year opening day of gun season i wore a black hoodie and tennis shoes and kahki pants. Only think i took was my gun and cell phone. Killed a deer 12 minutes into legal light. Camo is overrated

Once I've made my last movement while settling in, my bag is nearly empty. The purpose of my bag is more to keep my ducks in a row while i'm NOT in the woods. It contains: 2 hats, 1pr. gloves, a few handwarmers,nipple puller, capper, ball starter, 3 speed loads, cleaning jag, small flashlight, Tags, and an empty old pedalite bottle, to pack out my urine.
I carry a bottle of scent kill in the truck, a Leatherman,and a Buck110,on my belt,my gun on a sling,and cushon in hand.
Once I'm stumped up, the bag contains the jag, nipple puller,the flashlight,the pizz bottle,the Tags and the sling....All else is in use or in easily accesable pockets...
Yes, you read right...no scents,no calls.

If on private land close to the truck I take a weapon and a call. Not much else. Public land and more than 15 minutes from the truck...way too much. Including a small 1st aide kit and a hatchet. Like some of the other guys said...rather have it than not. Especially if you are hunting alone.
