I never realized that wearing cotton socks as my base layer for my feet was the absolute wrong thing to do.

I now where the base layer socks with no cotton and then a nice pair of smartwool socks and my feet rarely get cold. For years my feet froze twenty minutes in and I was buying the best insulated boots I could!
