The IDHA has just purchased a complete Archery in Schools Program for Boy Scouts Camp Belzer here in Indianapolis. It includes 13 Matthew Genisis bows, arrows, targets, backstops and all related gear. The equipment will be used weekly by visiting campers and some inner city school field trips during the school year.Costs $2,785.00. Camp Belzer is paying for the instructor training.

We have also committed to an annual grant of $1,500.00 for the repair and upkeep of archery equipment in the Indiana NASP program. This program will be allocated in "matching funds" from schools who are in the program presently and in the future.

We are proud to participate in a program where we can "see" an impact on the future of our hobby. YOUR dollars as members, entering a deer in the Hoosier Record Book and participation as a scorer, worker or visiting the Deer&Turkey Expo makes this possible.

Our goal is to supply at least one Archery in Schools Program yearly. If you know of a school system that is interested you can contact Tim Beck at tbeck752@fullnet.com He is with IDNR and can send a free video explaining the program.

When people ask what the IDHA is doing for them, we have a "laundry list" of projects every year!
