Me and my buddy had a real good time yesterday at Crane- I saw 7 doe and 2 small bucks (6pt. and 8pt.) in the morning and my buddy saw 5 doe and 1 small buck in the am. All deer passed by at less than 40 yards to each of us, so very close encounters, but no shots fired. Then we both saw 2 small doe in the afternoon hunt at close range and passed on them as well. Both the bucks I saw in the am worked a scrape and came in after the does had strolled by earlier. We did not hear a great deal of shooting in our area all day which was unusual, but we had plenty of deer sightings from our stand locations most of the day! A super cold hunt and a fun day in the woods though! We just didn't have any Crane bruisers stop by either of us!
