I'm drawn for shades late hunt dec 2-3 for area 2 which is the area east of the main park. Anybody have info they would like to share from past experiences at the shades? Thanks, FF

I live about 20 min from the park. Great quality of bucks. Very rugged terrain in places.

I would find a good thick funnel and plan to sit all day and let the foot soldiers run the deer to you.

hunted area 2 on monday. worst of the 3 areas imo. however there was lots of sign but very few shots in the area. crops surround the other areas so that should explain much

Foam.... I took a doe on mon in area 3 I only think about8 or so deer were taken out of area 3 on mon. I did not get to hunt on tue due to a unexpected doc apppt. The DNR guy that checked us in said someone brought out a huge 12 ptr, I saw about a 120 8 ptr that was taken from there as well. Like the others have said very little shooting for the numbers that are there. Should be plenty left for ya.
