So how did everyone do on Monday... Had a deer come crashing down a hill a few minutes after 7.... I knew it was a deer but its whitetail but couldn't make out the sex so and it was still somewhat dark in the woods so for ethical and safety reasons I didn't fire and let it walk... 11:30 a small buck come sneaking by and I grunted at him to stop him and when I fired I hit a small tree and missed him by an inch...

Can't wait to do it again tomorrow! Hopefully this time I can make a solid hit one or more.... Good luck and hunt safely above all.....

Took a small doe at Shades today with the muzzleloader out of area 3 .... Get to hunt a diff. area tomorrow. Post pic later.

(Indiana Dunes)I was settled in 5 min. before shooting time(6:30), over a 1/2 hour walk to get to the stand location and set it(Lone Wolf Alpha w/ 4 LW sticks)..... at 7:05 I had a 182lb 140-150" 10 pt down.....45/50 yd shot with slug gun, went 10 yds .... Pics to be forth coming ....It was the largest to come out of the Park today I was told by a CO I know......

FYI, this is the first year in the history of the herd reductions that EVERY Park was hunted at the same time .....

Thanks.....Actually is was only about a 150yd "drag"....they have crews on Kubota gator type tractors that will come and get the deer and take it back for you, all you have to do is get it to the nearest trail and call the office......considering all the shots I heard, they were very busy today ....

Hunted Ft. Ben in Indy and only saw 1 small buck just out of range. First time hunting there without a harvest.

Took a small 8, my buddy took a spike yesterday at Turkey Run. Low hunter turnout.

Could not hunt today unfortunately.

Well had one bust me this morning well past daylight and missed a 4pt (tried rushing the shot) and stupid me moved trying to keep eyes on him and gave me a not so favorable view....

Though had a blast this year at Whitewater.... Hope it is on the list next year and I get picked again...

We hunted New Harmonie. There were very few deer taken. We talked to one of the Parks managers as we left and he didn't think they were going to have a hunt next year due to the amount of deer taken at that time.

We did see a couple real bruisers brought out however. They definitely have some great deer there if you are lucky enough to get one in sight.

Yep, this week was a changer.....I killed a 185# 8 pt yesterday with the bow off a draw only gamebird habitat area....2 nice bucks in 3 days....I had 4 different bucks chasing does by me yesterday, the 8pt made the mistake of getting to close and he stopped just long enough....

I measured it and then a buddy measured it...He got 159 7/8 and I got 157 3/8 gross, he'd have gone 160 gross if he didnt have a busted G4 on the right....I'll remeasure in a better setting, rather that a open windy garage after I get it back from the taxi........
