My boy who just turned 1 yesterday is having open heart surgery Friday at riley to fix a hole in his heart, all we can do is pray

He is doin great the nurses say i just dont like seein him hooked up to everything, he opened his eyes and looked at his momma this mornin. He is still drowsy but they are talkin about takin some IVs out today and he actually pulled his oxygen out of his nose and they left it out and he didnt need it so the GREAT news is he is GREAT!!!!

waitin to move him out of icu to cardiac rehab sad thing is that floor full. He is suppose to be here a week at the least but one of the nurses says he shouldnt be here this long

Way back when I was in the service my kid sister had a hole in her heart repaired at Riley. This was in the 60's and it was a groundbreaking procedure back then. Today she has 4 kids and 9 grandkids. These things have a way of turning out alright and Riley is the right place to be.

If you have not inquired already Indiana has a program to help with childrens hospital bills. Inquire at Riley about the "crippled childrens service". Our daughter had a lengthy stay at Riley,(3 months) if not for crrippled children services I would still be paying or bankrupt. one year of a reasonable monthly payment and we were done!
We all pay into it with our state taxes, use it if you qualify! I like to see my taxes go for something good.

Well fellas Brody came home Tuesday. I appreciate yalls prayers and I actually cried as I was re reading this cause of you guys caring and I think bo and jb are the only ones I have ever met thank you everyone
