Who has had, or still has one?
I picked one up at a good deal and am wondering what are some of your likes & dislikes, tips & secrets, and your favorite loads?!?
Thanks for any feedback!

Got one similar off a member here, Firehawk .58 blued and walnut that is a nice piece. 1in 38 twist. It shot best so far w/260 grain Speers in 45 cal saboted with 80-90 grains ffg. Yours is a 50 so may differ. It didn't like conicals that well and neither did I. Really like the thin wrist on the stock. Mine wears a fixed 2.5x scope and handles well. A little chore to clean but worth it.

I posted your query on that site, Bo. I'll let ya know what I find out.
By the way...is that a cap gun or 209 ignition?

It does have the 209 conversion on it.

Nice stock! I have a very similar TC Black Diamond. Time consuming to clean. Doesn't do BH 209 in the cold. Other than that, it's great.
Treat me like I'm your best friend and it may happen

Should shoot 240 gr. XTP`s very well with 85-100 pyrodex, my Firehawk .50 that I had yrs. ago shot the 240`s into about 1.25 in. at 100 yds sometimes alot less, killed a pile of deer with it...your gun has the same twist rate so should shoot them also..
hoosieryotekiller-do it w/22-250

Thanks to everyone for the help and input! Hope to shoot it very soon. I'll have some different powders and bullets to try by then.

A T.C Thunderhawk is all I've hunted with for about the last 10 years.... It's a great gun, killed several deer with it. I bought it used, it is blued with an old school wood stock, and it has the 2 in. shorter barrel. I shoot two 50 grain pellets, behind Hornady 44/240 XTP's, and old as it is, It's still a nail driver. It's never had the conversion kit so it still fires on #11 capps. It's mis-fired one time....at a nice, tall buck! It was the capp,it was a dud.....Great gun.
SHHH.... Be vewy vewy quiet,I'm hunting WABBITS
