Agree. They seem to now be calling for freezing rain possibly in the mid morning. I had just told the wife that I am certainly getting old because these "little things" now concern me when years ago I never even thought about weather issues.

You and me both! I'm not driving an hour and a half in that crap. We'll see what they say tomorrow. It may change between now and then.

I am monitoring the weather. We plan on trying it Saturday, but the weather will determine what we do.

Delaney, I believe we are of similar age, and I too, have the same concerns now. Weird, isn't it! Wiser? Maybe. More scared? You bet!

Going to see what the weather is going to be like for Saturday, if its going to snow 3" to 6" like they are saying we can't do it some other weekend. You guys have to drive a lot farther then I do and I know I wouldn't want to drive far if it snows that much.

Well, you guys didn't much as far as catching fish. Son and I fished from 7 am till 1:30 and only came home with 14 fish, all gills but one and it was a nice 10" perch my son caught. I did catch a walleye but it was only about 10" long.

Glad you got out there and caught some. How thick was the ice today.

12" to 14" of ice and its still slick as he!! even with the snow on top, if you go be careful. My son hit the ice hard 2 times today and seen a few other people bust their backside to.

They just don't have my cat-like reflexes....

Quickfire, garman6, and myself met up at Summit this morning to try our luck. The bite was sloooow, but we caught a few. Garmin6 lost a nice walleye at the hole, but managed to bring in a nice bass just a little while later. All in all, it was a nice day to be on the ice, and spend some time with friends, which is always a good time.

They are like two old women, aren't they??? Thats the reason I bring earplugs when I'm around those two. I would have moved to the other side of the lake…..fish or no fish!!! :p
