On another post I asked about fishing the Flat Rock River and it got me thinking about getting a kayak.
Any of you guys fish from a kayak? If so what size, type, essentials needed, and tips would be appreciated.
I have been on several canoe floats, but thought that a kayak would be fun.
If any of you have any please post some pics.

My wife and I fish out of kayaks in the summer on a couple of small ponds. We fly fish from them but certainly could fish in other manners as well. Our kayaks are not fishing kayaks and are sit in kayaks about 10 feet long. The kayaks have some tie down storage that allows some stuff to be taken. I'm not sure about trying to fish and navigate flowing water at the same time but a kayak would be really good to float down the river to spots and then either wade or pull to the side out of the current and fish. I use a fishing vest so I can take everything needed in it.

Dave,
That is what I was thinking as well. It would be a great way to navigate and wade. Then also use on small water.
A new way to fish..... I all about it.
