We made our first trip of the year to Tennessee last week. The fishing WAS picking up good, until the weather came in on Thursday and really slowed things down. We were up at 3:30 throwing cast nets for bait until about daylight, fished till dark, then fixed supper, took care of bait and the boat, cleaned fish, and got in bed by 11:00pm. We had to work hard for the fish we caught. We boated around 22 stripers in 5 days of fishing. The smallmouth were on fire, and filled in nicely between striper bites.

Every point or rock pile we went over, we caught a smallie on live bait. So, I tied on a Xrap on a spinning rod, and one of us was up front casting the rocks.
