The fishing WAS picking up good, until the weather came in on Thursday and really slowed things down. We were up at 3:30 throwing cast nets for bait until about daylight, fished till dark, then fixed supper, took care of bait and the boat, cleaned fish, and got in bed by 11:00pm. We had to work hard for the fish we caught. We boated around 22 stripers in 5 days of fishing. The smallmouth were on fire, and filled in nicely between striper bites. [ Every point or rock pile we went over, we caught a smallie on live bait. So, I tied on a Xrap on a spinning rod, and one of us was up front casting the rocks.
