In 2 days of hunting on heavily hunted public land, I saw 20+ deer and had 6 in bow range. Only 2 were bucks. I killed a doe smile

It's hard to manage deer on anecdotes. Harvest stats are more objective. From a brief look at the last 4 years of harvest stats, looks like Porter County has had a healthy and consistent harvest of both bucks and does. Somewhere between 1200 and 1600 deer. The mix of antlered:antlerless seems consistent with state averages.
