I've been getting into some yote hunting here lately. I have an icotech but never called anything in with it. Went with a friend last night and he has a foxpro and we killed a coyote almost immediately on second set up. Do you guys think it'd be worth switching to a foxpro even for the money? Opinions please

Setup with coyotes in area would be more important than anything. I would guess if you used the icotech it would have worked too.

you can get a FoxPro Deadbone for around $99 ... 15 preset calls, but you can NOT add to it....it is what I'll be using this season ... remote operation to 100+ yds... I use AA Lithium batteries in it and in the 9 volt remote and keep and extra set with me... not sure the run time per se is, havnt found any reviews that give the battery life ... the lithiums should have it last longer and work better in the cold ...

Mag hunter I agree with bean, yotes may have not been in the area at that time. I would not give up on it just yet, but a tid bit of info.
I did read somewhere that companys that provide downloads for E callers are switching to foxpro and will not down load to the icotech.
Im sure there are still plenty of places you could find that will down load their calls.

also as the late season is here the yotes sometimes take a little longer to show up, but its nice when like your recent hunt they come in quick. They are hungry.

I actually just bought an icotec gc350 seeing that it was programmable and that its remote just has buttons and not a screen that can be hard to see in the daylight. I prefer just buttons. I was able to get on the icotec website and download every call that I wanted and change out the calls on the remote from the ones I didn't want to the ones I wanted. So far the call has been great and I've killed a couple coyotes so far with it.

I was hoping to get out Friday, but now they are saying stiff winds up here 17-25mph, same for Saturday ... drats ....

I've used a foxpro for years and called in some with it,I just have a hard time being able to see the screen on the remote and wanted something with over 100 yard range,so I switched to the Primos Alpha Dogg. It's got a lot bigger clearer screen on the remote and a range of 200 yards. I only got out once this past season but called 1 in with it in minutes. I've still got the foxpro but doubt I ever use it again,I like the Alpha Dogg a lot better.
