The best advice I could give is to:

Find where the mink travel, put the trap there.

Along concrete bridge walls are good, baited pocket sets work too. Look into the bottom edge set also using a conibear trap, deadly on mink.

here is the basic idea

Your right, I shouldnt have.... frown

Best spots are rivers, creeks and ponds that have muskrats. Mink are on the move to catch small fish, frogs, crayfish and basically any small animal is mink food. I like the pocket set or pipe set with a coni bear setting on the entrance. Lots of good videos on you tube. Yaz is the expert mink trapper on here. h.h.

See, I have a well sized property that has about a 8 yard wide creek traveling through it. The creek travels right through the property. It is in the middle of a treeline which travels with it. There are many small rock piles along the creek as well. I think it would be a good place to trap them.

The stream isn't very deep. Like the deepest right now is probably 3 foot. I scouted it out last night and found some mink tracks. Looks to be a good couple spots for a pocket set. Looks to be good for pipe sets too.
