I have hunted out of lots of those types of homemade stands. I used to build them out of old 2x4's and a cordless drill with a pocket full of 3.5 inch wood screws.

I walk past an old one about 12 feet up a big old mulberry tree on one farm I hunt now.

Years ago, I hunted by the Indianapolis airport out of an old 10 foot ladder stand I made out of an aluminum extension ladder and some old hardwood flooring.
