Seen a beautiful red fox today. Caught him curled up sound asleep. when he woke up, it was like he couldn't believe I was there! I assume this was his handi work. Ive got the pan set about 4.5lbs just for that reason.

I made the snare about 6" too long……….back feet touched the ground….Female in heat, and she was really stinking!!! Hope her boyfriend comes back looking for her.

Caught 3 coons today they must have really been moving last night. Caught one in a dirthole set, caught one in a snare I had on a run along a fence for coyote, and one in a DP.

Had success first night out after resetting everything. Another beaver. This one seems small compared to my JUMBO ones since he only weighed 30#. [Linked Image]

One of the prettiest coyotes I have caught. I have plans for her. Had one in the big hole set right next to this scent post. Had it long enough to make a big mess of the set! mad My fault. When i set it, pan was loose as heck, and I didn't have the tools on hand to tighten it, and it was already staked down…..lesson learned. Knew I should have dug it back up the next day and do it.

Didn't have time for the remakes tonight, as I was running behind on chores. Got a shipment of Carmen's in today. I will set them with a new perfume tomorrow! laugh

Beautiful yote Yaz I'm afraid that one would be getting mounted but if you decide to tan her let me know I would be interested in tanning her for you.

Don't have time to mess around Gilley!!! laugh I'm down to one trap in the ground right now, and just a handful of snares up. I made up 10 snares last night and treated them. Hope to get a couple sets remade, and couple new ones in the ground tonight after work. I HATE setting after dark.

Caught one more straggler today. She was flattened out to hide in plain sight.

Figured we'd join the fun even tho it's a little late. Been some nice catches, neat pictures, and great advice shared on here... The boys asked for some more traps for Christmas this year, so since they were sort of good, Santa delivered. laugh They've had DPs set in the creek bottom behind our house since November and have yet to catch a single coon. That bottom is usually good for a few coon, but this year has only panned out a couple skunks and a few possums. Last week we decided to run sets for yotes and coon at one of the farms we hunt since we'd seen a ton of yotes there thru the fall. Put some dirt holes out, several snares, and some DPs for coon. Yesterday in our last snare we had to check, we get to it and find this fella just hangin around. Hopefully there are a few more to come in the future... The one yote Tristan dropped in muzzy season... The coons and grinner were from earlier in the week.

I caught beaver #5 today. Still trapping the same 4 slides! I caught the 3 huge ones, then had no sign for 10 days. Then they became active again. Now I have caught 2 more in the last 3 days. How many more might have moved in? This one weighed 38#. Need to reset this slide tonight. [Linked Image]

No Throwbak. Haven't tried the beaver meat yet. My wife cooks and eats alot of things, but I'm not sure this would be allowed in her kitchen!
