He is a close long time friend who I trust to be truthful in his comments. He said he has been told to only keep large coons and let the small one's go because the buyer has no interest in them. The close friend and family have caught about 50 coyotes and a number of reds. They don't let the reds go and apparently have been getting about 20 dollars apiece for the reds. Can't remember what he said the coyotes were selling for. Now, this guy and his family/friends are retired and they put out a lot of traps and snares so while the 50 number seems impressive, to him it's really not that big of a number.
