Think I'm gonna put out for coon and coyote this weekend. Anyone else?

Gonna see what I can do, got the dps ready and also found a nice spot that beaver are tearing up so looking forward to that in a few weeks as well.

Deer hunting for a bit longer. Couple more weeks then we will hit it hard.

I need deer meat more than I need a bunch of coon I might have to sell at fire sale prices anyhow....going to try to fill a tag or 2 then hit the coon.

But yes, I will set a few traps on saturday. Close to home easy to check ones.

I am going to put out probably 4 coon traps. I will probably move my 2 coyote sets because nothing has gotten in them for a week and 3 days. With all this rain I am also thinking it has washed the lures away that I use: Hoosier Trapper Coyote Urine and Hoosier Trapper Fox Gland Lure. I am ready to catch some coons though. I bought some raccoon lure at Hoosier Trapper Supply this summer. Has anybody tried it and does it bring in coons?

I use the HTS coon #101 lure mixed in a trailing scent with fish oil. It helps keep the coon working the set. If you are setting on fresh coon sign you will catch coon with it.

Yeah it's the HTS raccoon lure #101. I will set 2 traps most likely tomorrow morning with marshmallows.

Set my first traps of the season. DP's with mini marshmallows and HTS Sweet Success. We will see, tomorrow....

We put a few sets out too. See what happens. Got 2 new farms to gang set later too. Excited about that.

Yeah. Going to put it all together this week. Getting an electric hoist for skinning and deer hanging. Will post pics when I get it done or post video of doing a coon.

I put out some DP's and some dirt holes for Coyote. Also came across some chewed down trees, guess I've got some beavers I didn't even know about. Gonna have to start working on them next week. Bean i'd like to see that machine or a video when you get it done.

Put out 5 dps connected on 3. Will post pics later, one was a beast.

Bet they shut down next week with the temp change. I'll be off from Wednesday this week until the second week of gun season so I'll be deer hunting and trapping.

Check day 1 = goose egg. Setting the rest of my DP's and 1.5's this evening.

Wow nice haul guys. Keep it coming. We don't have very many traps out yet and Luke is pushing me to get more out there - I wanna wait another week or so.

Bassbum, man how many traps you running? That's a crap load for 2 days. Nice going.

I am running about a dozen coyote sets and about 30 to 35 coon sets now. I will start hitting it hard after gun season is over. Its just not worth fighting with people during gun season.

Nice catches gentlemen!!! I just don't have time…..At least I can look at the pictures here to get my fix right now. I watched that big dark male coyote run a doe for a short distance today. We have seen him out and about several times in the last couple weeks. I know right where I can catch him. But it will screw up my deer hunting right now.

I know what you mean. I'll pull mine Friday and wait a few weeks then hit it again.

Thanks much. The place we hunt appears to be covered up with coons and I'm intending to do away with some of them. Really dislike just eliminating them without messing with the fur but ...

I went cheap and easy, mini marshmallows soaked in cherry jello mix.
