That's a happy young man there! Congrats to all for still pulling them in.

Nice coons catches everybody. We are making a nice little push here before the end of the season! While waiting on a cow to have a calf before I went to work, I went and checked a few this morning. Had this one in a cable. Not a big one, but a nicely colored/and primed one. ![[Linked Image]](http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e329/GYaz/securedownload-8_zps6936d16f.jpeg) This bob-tailed rough looking old boar was caught by either Goodyears, or Michelins on 22" Sprewell rims at the intersection of 22'nd and College, downtown Indianapolis!!!! Hey….I'm not too proud to pass up $10.00!!!! :p ![[Linked Image]](http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e329/GYaz/securedownload-9_zps47a11072.jpeg)

Hey, is anybody eating these things? Seriously. I used to work with a guy at a factory in Lafayette that brought coon burgers every night for a month or so during the winter for folks to eat at lunch. I didn't have the stomach for it but quite a few guys did.
Nice catches guys!

When I was a kid my Dad killed a young one and had Mom fry it up. Not bad from what I recall. Young groundhog about the same.

We used to make a point to roast one once a year. Just did it like a roast as I remember with potatoes and carrots. Not bad at all actually, got to remember to find and remove a few glands. We quit after a couple distemper out breaks several years back, though realistically its pretty easy to spot an unhealthy one.

2 more cons, 3 skunks (4 in 2 days) and a 2 mile possum that has to be the smallest catch known to mankind. The fields I normally drive through to get to my sets are very muddy. I make the daily walk which is right at a mile to my farthest set. I had high hopes since there were a lot of coon tracks after this warm up. All I caught was this grinner. Thought about letting him go but didn't want him messing up my sets again.

Creeks were out of their banks when I set Saturday. This morning the water had fully retreated and there were fresh coon tracks in the sand and mud banks. Another lesson learned they seem to go hunting for food after water goes down. From now on I'm going to try some DP's or PVC sets on the creek banks.

Caught another boar today. Makes 28. 26 in DP's, 2 in snares, and 23 were caught in/around barns. 5 were caught by the creek. Interesting this thing called trapping.

Yee hawww - we reached our goal to catch 30 coons. Caught 2 boars last night. Couple more weeks to go BUT we are going after coyotes double time now. Might try beaver as well.
Nice catches PB.
