Have not shot slugs in years: .50 cal Encore and .44 Handi dead on to 100 yards. Not to knock the .357 but when I was looking it seemed the .44 had better ballistics especially at the longer distance.

Just remember, your limited to what you can use here in this state......You can use a 30-06 for coyote, but not deer....go figure ...

Hard to beat A Muzzle loader in my book. Plus you get another season with it. More "bang" for your "buck" LOL..............

44 handi and I shoot fiocchi brand ammo that can be bought online. Cheaperthandirt.com
Groups great to 100 yards and beyond. My load drops quick past 100 but still groups well.. I really don't shoot deer w it past 75 due to where I hunt.
Consistent luck is nothing more than hard work and preparation.
