Luke started shooting a .44 at 7 years old and he is always on the small side of the growth scale. The .44 is a great gun and he is now 12, so he has been shooting it for 5 years.

What I have learned is make sure you get a youth stock as it will fit and feel better, especially if scoped. I put a Sims recoil pad on it to take down the recoil even more. Worth the $ IMO. We started out w/ a red dot scope and he shot it well. Shoot with ear muffs as it is quite a bit louder than the .22. Sometimes the noise freaks them out.
