Why waste your time pulling them? I'd fill em ALL up with coyotes before I pulled them if I were you laugh Nice going HH. Good to see some bare dirt up there now!

Keep at it HH. She looks like she just laid down and gave up.

On another note, I talked with a guy I used to work, hunt and fish with who lives just south of Lafayette. He is trying to catch a troublesome skunk in a live trap for his neighbor. As we talked I quizzed him about how he was going to deal with it when he caught it. He said he just talks to them and lays a small towel over the trap and picks it up and puts it in his truck and drives to another farm he has permission to be on and simply lets it go. He swears he never gets sprayed by doing this.

One of the guys I work with, who has trapped for many years, was describing a similar experience(s) with trapping skunks. He has a rather unique way of dispatching them, that requires him to get up close and personal to do so. Claims he has not been sprayed since he was a kid.

Dave, she had went around the small trees just in front of her and choked herself off. If you look you can see how tight the cable is.

Yaz, Probably will keep after them for a while. Ive got some earth anchors to pull when the ground thaws out completely. There are still some patches of snow a foot deep yet. I can still get on my pond but the edges are gone. h.h.

I had an old Momma skunk that lived in my side yard in an old stump. She ended up having a litter there, and moved them under the dog house in the kennel. For a week, the poor beagle whined and cried, and I kept hollering at him!!! laugh I didn't see her digging in the side yard any more, and assumed she had moved out. I finally wondered why the dog wouldn't go in his box, so I went out and dug around. I thought I could smell skunk, and lifted up the box, and there were the babies. I didn't have the heart to dispatch them. So I set a live trap, and caught her. I waited until she was sound asleep, and put an old blanket over the trap. I put the little ones in a 5 gallon bucket, and moved them back in the woods to an old groundhog hole. I just went easy, and moved really slow. None of them even offered to spray. But, she was used to seeing me all the time too, so that might have had something to do with it.

Keep going HH. Plenty of time to get your goal.

Hate skunks.

Yes, I pulled my snares Tuesday after I caught a hen turkey. I released her unharmed and decided that was it for this year. Not much sign anyway. h.h.

I don't know what it is……But I have traveled I74 between Greensburg, and Indy for MANY years. This week alone there have been 6 coyotes that have been smashed on the interstate. 3 inside marion county, and one right on the off ramp at Greensburg. That one was right next to some apartments and a motel! I have never seen that many at once. Maybe one every month or so.
