The locks I have are 3/16 but the 1x19 3/16 wire i have is slightly bigger in diameter than the 3/16 7x7. I did catch my biggest yote ever on the 1x19 with the lock drilled out.
And by the way we are getting another 5-8" of snow today. h.h.
I noticed the same thing….AFTER I had put some used locks from old snares on the new 1x19. I just ran the locks up and down the snare a bunch of times to loosen them up a little. But you are correct need to check them and drill them out a little if needed.
