Way to go Yaz. I still have a few snares left out but can't get them in them. Still have a lot of tracks in what snow is left. Think I'll put out a few sets tomorrow and see if I can get lucky.

Good catches PB and Yaz!

Even with all the warm weather and rain still a lot of snow on the ground here. Most of my snares are still under the snow. h.h.

Good job Yaz. It is amazing how well a coyote can smell. I do think the key sometimes is to just be patient and stay back when checking traps. Sometimes the longer one sets the better your odds become. The last one I caught the set had been sitting for 10 days.

Yet another female yote in a snare today. I keep wanting to call it quits but there are still a few willing to play the game out there. One less female to have pups this spring.

Nice PB. Great to take out four or five future pups with one snare.

Caught this female last night. I had 2 snares about 3-4 ft apart in 2 openings in this little brush line. She had 1 around her neck and one around her leg. With all the tracks I was seeing out there I new it was just a matter of time. [Linked Image]

Was able to remake some sets today after nothing out for quite a while. Going to hit it until the end. Looks like the weather may be better for a while and I can get to them okay now.

Good luck.

I set a snare on Saturday just before the 4"
of new snow came. The rest of my snares are still under the snow and ice. h.h.

Stay after them guys! Looks like I may have get back in the game for a while. Just as I got home to do the feeding at my place, the neighbor lady across the road front the farm called. Her two little dogs were fending off a coyote on the dock at the pond behind her house. When the Great Dane jumped in the mix, the coyote left. But, According to her, the coyote came back four or five times in 45 minutes. By the time I got a rifle and got back down there, it was almost dark, and all was quiet. I have no idea what that was all about????
