Snared this young male today in a fence set. He was snare around the waist and still alive. A friend was with me and he wanted to shoot the yote with his new .17 HMR. He shot the dog in the head and it went down. we walked up and started to unhook the snare off the fence and my buddy bent down and one knee looking at dog. He started to take the snare off and I saw the dog's eye move. I told him the dog was still alive and hes no he aint i shot him between the eyes. All of the sudden the dog sits up and my buddy jumped back grab his gun and shot him again. Remade the set but the was a lot of blood with the head shot. I didnt know he was going to head shoot him or i would have stopped him.
