Looks more like sparring to me. I wouldn't say they were actually "fighting". I think bucks often stand around and spar with other bucks because that's what they do. They have to show their dominance and remind each other who's in charge. When they are fighting all **** breaks loose and they are pushing each other around and trying to kill each other...

Fighting is fighting...........and sparring is sparring. There is a difference, and VERY little fighting is happening after December "25ish". Most of the pics guys are getting late in the year is over food/bait for camera pics. The pics may look like fighting.........but the videos tell the truth, they are just sparring around the food. Been trail caming with video mode now for 5 years.......never have seen a "fight" from the bucks on the cams with litterally 10,000-15,000 videos during the months of Jan.-March........Sparring yes, Fighting no. Has a fight over food with bucks happened somewhere in the world after December 25"ish"......you bet. Common Occurance??......not even. They will fight over food more often in the summer....but it is usually a "hoof battle". Click on video....... Does this time of year (Jan-March) are a different story........they are bickering constantly over food, slapping yearlings in the head and back with their hooves, and rearing up on their hind legs battling briefly other adult does. They are FAR worse for fighting this time of year than the bucks.
