Some times it just pays to be lucky. That don't happen very often for me. Last night I rode back on the 4 wheeler to look at a couple coon sets and decided to drive by my favorite snaring hole. I noticed a little activity. This is where I took a picture of the quick link last night that I posted. I also noticed that when I finished last year, I just closed and wound the snare up in the fence. SInce I was running a couple coon traps back there till the weekend, I thought "what the heck".....

Its the big female that had 3 pups that I have been getting all the trail cam pictures of!!!! At least I got her out of the way before she could teach the pups bad habits, like digging up sets!!!! I'd REALLY like to try to kill a deer this late season, and this is right where I hunt! So. I'll stay out there with the trapping after this week.
