Ok.....I'm playing dirty now!!! They won't come to the bean chaff set any more. I t may be because I drove a post 15' away, and put a camera on it. So, I noticed she still liked to dig in the old dirthole set, even though there is nothing there. I'm playing her game, and started digging too! Made a "step down" dirthole. Its basically a large dirthole with a cutout in the dirt about 5" deep in front of the hole. It forces them to step into it if they want to see in the hole. It puts their foot right where you want it, and they really cant get at the trap to dig it up. I have NOT put a trap in the set, and I have NOT added any lure or scent of any kind to alert them. They are naturally coming there anyway. I HAVE been feeding her good size chunks of meat. And, as you can see, she is stepping RIGHT where I want, and no digging. I have to ride right by there every night to feed. I'll dig a little every night, to loosen up the dirt in front of the hole, and keep piling it on the sides so she HAS to approach from the front. I'll also keep feeding her. When the weather gets right to stick a trap in there, I will. I will put the camera back on this set to see what happens.
