My snares have been lonely too HH. I figured if I caught 10 this year I'd be lucky. Between trapping and the one I shot with my bow, that makes 7 or 8 now. I know there are a couple pair around, but we have not had one single problem with coyotes in the calves this year. I will probably scale back here in a couple of weeks, and just leave some snares guarding the barn lots where the calves are at. I would like to "fool" that trap digger before I retire for the year though. I don't need one out there training the others. But it appears they are back to manageable levels again.
