BTW- i made a puller that will yank those cable stakes right out of the ground without having to dig. Yaz, a flat set to me is just a set that has some backing like a clump of grass or a log and i just take my stake driver and poke a hole in front of the backing to put my lure in and squirt some urine on it. I do use scent post and dirt holes and try to mix things up a bit and put out 2 different sets in a good area. The flat set is a little quicker to put in. I would also like to see a pic of your stake puller.

I had some coon sets with Birkshires and was pulling them by hand and apparently strained something in my back. Definately going to take your puller ideas and make one of my own.

The best thing is to try and skin them shortly after you kill them. they are much easier to skin when they are warm. Skinning machine is the way to go.
