I went for a bit, saw four, one fox squirrel old enough to drive, presented a clear shot so I took him home with me.

Weed,
Good looking recipe but if I made that much I'd be eating it for a week! I might make a batch and freeze some in meal size containers. h.h.

Went today and missed the first one but bag 3, all head shots.... . Hadnt checked my gun this season and it was shooting 3/4" high @30 yards. The squirrels Ive shot this year are all shot high in the head, so I turn it down to dead center @30 yards. ![[Linked Image]](http://www.jesseshunting.com/photopost/data/516/medium/20150831_102726_1_.jpg) That makes 9 so far this year.....are you listen Luke :p The hole is gettin deeper. h.h.

Stuck my head out the back door at 5:30AM and went back to bed. It's too dang hot for me, also. It's a long season, and I have enough in the freezer from last season to mix a batch of chowder up. Cooler days are ahead for sure. I was gonna go to my shooting area to sight a couple guns in, but decided against that too. It's going to be fun enough cutting the grass today..

Weed would you mind posting this recipe again? Or emailing it if you prefer sir. Thanks.

Here it is, Tyson... Mac English’s Squirrel Chowder Ingredients - 4 to 8 squirrels, pressure-cooked or
parboiled and deboned - 10 cups squirrel broth (or beef broth) - 5 medium potatoes, diced - 2 medium onions, diced - 2 stalks celery, diced - 2 carrots, diced - 1 tsp. each salt, black pepper, garlic powder - 2 cubes chicken bouillon - 2 oz. butter - 8 oz. Velveeta cheese - 4 oz. cream cheese - 1 pint half-and-half - 2 cans evaporated milk Directions Bring broth to a boil in a large pot. Add the vegetables, spices, and bouillon. Simmer until vegetables are tender. Add the squirrel meat and simmer 10 minutes. Add butter and cheeses, and simmer while stirring until cheese melts. Stir in the half-and-half and milk and warm through. It's good stuff!! You can substitute any meat you choose..rabbit, chicken, etc. (and don't call me "sir")

Can you explain the squirrel prep portion? I/e I currently don't have a pressure cooker (but hope to soon) so from a cleaned and skinned squirrel what does a guy do with both the parks boil or pressure cooker options? The rest of the instructions are idiot proof so I comprehend lol Thanks! And sorry about the "sir" it is the way I was raised and the way my son is being raised. It dumbfounds me the looks I get when my son says "yes sir" or "yes ma'am " folks glare like I'm raising a cult child or something when I just feel it's a matter of respect and integrity and if my children had that instilled at a earlier age the world would be a slightly better place.
