Heard the first birds gobbling in Indiana on March 2. Saw the first strutters (3) on March 5. Heard birds one morning from then until early last week when I started hearing them every morning. A field about 1/2 mile from my house seems to have 1-7 birds strutting in it at anytime of the day. This morning tere were even two jakes strutting.
