I'm looking to buy my handgun license this week and I have a question before I do it. Are you allowed to hunt with a handgun if you have the "personal protection" permit or is it only allowed with the "hunting and target" permit? Thanks.

Either will work. I doubt you will have your permit back in time now, though. It's taking close to 4-5 months to receive it from what I'm hearing.

I agree. It took a little over 6 months to get my lifetime in the mail.

(B) while attending a firearms instructional course; or
(C) while engaged in a legal hunting activity.

Wow. I didn't take that long to receive the permit. I guess I'll be getting the lifetime personal protection to go with my lifetime hunting license.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I sent in for my lifetime permit on September 6 and received it in the mail on September 17. Only 11 days!!
