What part of the "its your choice" that is not understood...yes, a 1.5 yr old is a "baby buck"...heck, even a 3.5 yr isnt considered "mature", but that is what I set for my "agenda" and what I want to try and take every year. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it dosnt..back in my youth Ive killed many young bucks, I'm past that and now I dont find them challenging.... If I would have shot a small 1.5 yr old, and I had over 1/2 dozen with in range and makeable shots before I shot my 182 lb 8pt 3.5 yr old this season, I'd have been done and NEVER would have had a chance for him, I got him on Nov. 13 one day before gun after hunting 10 days straight and over half of those were all day sits, before sun up to the end of shooting hours....it is MY CHOICE to pass on these younger guys... heck, some of my best hunts/years have been when I never filled a buck tag.... I dont have to fill a tag to have a good season.... it is your CHOICE ....
