I hunted Sun. morning from 6:00-9:30. I was hunting on a ridge over a funnel. As the sun came up, I watched a doe and a fawn stand up behind me about 30 yards (guess i made a quiet entry). They fed for a bit, then a half hour later a 2 yr old small 8 came through slowly feeding. A little later I had a forkie and a button together come through and bed down at 60 yds. Lots of grunting going on, but they all were just slowly going through feeding on browse. With the wet leaves and being overcast it was a good lesson in sitting still. They were totally silent and blended in. If I wasn't paying attention at all times, i might have missed them. They didnt seem like they were even seeking yet (Clinton county).
