Well this one is dedicated to my Nana and Papa who I lost back to back in both Septembers of 2013 and 2014. I tried hunting in 2013 after my Papa's passing but I couldn't enjoy it. Then the following year with my Nana's passing it pretty much killed it for me. I tried but could only pull myself to go afield half a dozen times. This from a guy who hunted 4-5 times a week. These were my only grandparents. It took two years for me to pull it together and get out of my secret gutter of depression but I finally got back afield. This doe came in at 5:45 tonight and only ran 50 yards after the shot. I heard her crash and was walking towards her in 5 mins. Complete pass through and great blood trail. I was back home with my Cracker Barrel to go by 7:00. (my grandparents favorite restaurant) I've got to thank the Good Lord for this harvest and my beautiful wife for helping me and standing by my side through the hard times.
