Years ago I bought the moon rotating dial that showed rising moons and falling moons, etc. I used it and tracked results of sightings, successes and the like.

I really, really wanted it to be true... but I found that I wasted $14.95 on the hunting tool that I hoped would bring me good success.

But at least I learned a bit about hunting deer and the moon.

One thing I took out of my little experiment is full moons and hunting bucks between 11am- 1:30 pm.

It turns out that I have seen an extraordinary amount of bucks around noon - including my first deer taken with a bow, which came out at exactly Noon. Yes, it was due to my enormous drag-rag with doe-in-heat urine all over it.

However, since then, I have seen bucks at Noon more than any other time of day.

It could be the full moon at noon - it could be that other hunters are usually out of the woods and kick up deer as they are walking out around 10:00 - 10:30am.
