Thanks Parkerbow,it was a fun hunt with my son home from school so very cool. We camped and had bacon tenderloin over the fire last night so doesn't get a lot better than that. I hear you and agree on the rut. It has been slow. That's the first buck I had seen on stand for a couple weeks. Not seeing the does or little bucks running around either. The does I have seen are skittish. Deer like him are hard for me to pass on public....obviously! Good luck I think the hills are about to bust loose soon.
