Soil make ups of areas are the biggest factor when one really boils down the antler growth of all the areas whitetails exist.

Hence why some areas just are naturally going to be better, sometimes for "no apparent" reasons.

With supplement, I understand your comment. But when you look at penned animals that have significant growth of antlers, they often are not necessarily on great soil. In that context, is it nutrients or nutrition or genetics as the most important.

Delaney if you take out food plots or supplements...soil controls the nutrition part of ingredients on antlers. Captive deer are not natural nor should be used to compare as their diet is so packed full of nutrients and in some cases "special" supplements even.
